Differential in Van Den Hul Flat & Ultimate Cable?
Hello,
I like to ask any hardcore aficionados whom have the
Sony KDL-40Z4500 TV and have vigorously tested the Van Den Hul 'Flat' as also the 'Ultimate' cable and have seen a great visual/sound difference when playing on their PS3 and watching Blu-Rays.
I'm the type of guy that likes to know the full facts, as also wanting the best lead that my budget can permit. To which i have narrowed it down to the 'Van Den Hul' brand.
I have checked the 'Van Den Hul' website, to which states on the 'Ultimate' it is fully compliant with 1.3b HDMI spec. Whereas the 'Flat' specifies on it's specifications of 'HDMI Type A' interface, as also complying to the 1.3 spec, but doesn't fully state if it is 1.3b compliant.
Any input is greatly appreciated.

In summary, expensive cables aren't worth it. $10 and $100 cables perform identically.
Some videophiles and audiophiles don't care though. They're convinced that if a cable costs more and looks really cool that it must perform better, but this just isn't the case. That said, if you're the type that likes to brag about how expensive your cables are then go for it. Make your decision on looks since the performance will be identical.
